A New offshore windfarm service OPERATION VESSEL CLASSED bv
Recently, a new offshore wind farm Service Operation Vessel (SOV) classed BV in Norway. This ship is tailor-made for industry needs – in particular focusing on enhanced operability and efficient logistics.
The SOV is an 83m vessel with a beam of 19.4m. It will be operated by Louis Dreyfus for DONG Energy. The SOV is equipped with a Dynamic Motion Compensated Gangway System along with unique on-board logistic solutions and accommodation facilities for 90 people。 The shipbuilding contract includes one optional vessel.
The vessel, will be delivered in the final quarter of 2018, will feature comfort notations for noise and vibration. It will also carry the Battery System notation, as batteries will be used for peak shaving as part of a DC electro system.
